PART 1
Baja, the greatest land for riding motorcycle freely! Our experience starts in Tecate Ca, right at the border. We will meet on the afternoon of May 9th and then cross into our hotel a mile from the border. May 10th we start our three week adventure through Mexico and all its beautiful lands. We will spend 4 nights in Baja as we make our way to La Paz and our Ferry that will takes us to Mazatlan. The ferry leaves at 7pm so we will ride from Loreto to La Paz, board the ferry and wake up on the other coast. We will stop on the beautiful white sandy beaches of San Quintin, the Oasis of Baja; San Ignacio, and the Magical town of Loreto! We will travel 950 miles through Baja before we board our Ferry.
PART 2
We arrive to mainland Mexico on the morning of May 14th! These next 2 days are free days to relax and enjoy Mazatlan. From the Ferry to our hotel is a short ride, we will check in early and relax. After a nice rest on the western coast of Mexico, we will ascend up to Durango and 6200ft of elevation. This will be one of our higher elevation stays, but definitely not the highest! And to get there we will ride what is considered on of the worlds most dangerous roads, due to its many curves but this is really a motorcycle heaven road! Espinazo del Diablo is the road, one not to forget.
Our travels continue on through Mexico’s western high country with our final destination being a small town near the Piramids of Mexico City. This part covers 1050 miles, and end a resting day to explore the outskirts of Mexico City, and maybe even a guided trip into the city.
PART 3
Time to head South West towards the pacific coast and the central jungles of Mexico. This consists of us hitting a small coastal town that suffered greatly in 2017s earthquake that shook Mexico apart. I love stopping at small towns like this because as we pass through we use local hotels and restaurants to support the locals! As we head east towards Palanque, we ascend again from sea level to almost 7000 feet. San Cristobal de las Casas is one of Mexicos highest elevation towns in the southern jungles. We will continue on towards Palanque then into Bacalar, our final destination south before we head back north. Bacalar is Mexicos pristine clear waters and offers some amazing experiences.
In this part we will cover 1100 miles
part 4
The Home Journey!
Its time to head north and towards home. But we still have a long way and a few spots to check out. Our first morning leaving Bacalar will be quite an early one as we have a long way to go and one mayor stop to make. Chichén Itzá is a location we must not miss! So an early day to get there and spend some time is what we will do. We will end up on the gulf coast for most of out return home before cutting inland towards Monterrey. Here a few riders will part ways and head west to Arizona or California via the Mexican side of the highway. You can join your new friends on this journey together or head towards Laredo and the crossing to USA and home.
This final part consists of 6 days and 1600 miles.
